BRT Bus

In January 2008, three new bus rapid transit (BRT) systems opened in Dalian as part of a larger solution to ease urban traffic pressure and inprove life for the local residents.
The idea first appeared in 1999 in Kunming, then later Beijing opened the first ‘closed’ BRT system, but here the initial designs have been improved along with additional corridors, plus the use of wider station platforms, pre-board fare collection smart cards to speed up fare payment, improved passenger information with staff members who can help direct you and the introduction of a more modren fleet of high capacity BRT buses.

It's a difficult balance: being cautious about what you eat and enjoying your stay in Dalian.

On the one hand, you don't want to be wiping every utensil with hand sanitizer every time you sit down.
On the other hand, you don't want to throw caution to the wind and end up curled in the fetal position talking to god on the Porcelain throne all night.
Not to worry, read these helpful tips and you should be well prepared to enjoy your stay - both visual and culinary - in Dalian.

Most visitors find they have enough trouble surviving Chinese traffic without actually taking the wheel.
It is generally best to just rent a car with a driver, or to employ a driver if you buy a car.
Because of the Chinese wages, the cost of the driver is quite low.
You need a Chinese license to drive in China. Foreigners who have driving license issued by their home countries can apply for a temporary driving license and drive in China without having to take related tests, according to a clause in a regulation issued by the Ministry of Public Security following a quick hour-long traffic law briefing. Your license, however, will be time-limited.

Dalian's urban rail transport track now has a total of 88 kilometres, ranking Dalian among the leading cities in urban rail transport construction.

The Metro or sometimes it is called locally as the Qinggui #3 (light rail line 3), and is a rapid transit system which, first opened in 2003 running a total of 49 kilometres (30 mi) with 12 stations connecting Jinshitan in the Development Zone with Dalian city centre.
