Re:Whats the most dificult thing to....... 7 Months ago
People pretending to be your friend... and then... putting conditions on your friendship.
For example, you hang out a few times, then they want:
-- Free English lessons
-- You to invest in their business
-- You to meet their boss to impress him
-- etc.
I don't think the Chinese are any worse than anyone else with this... I think the main reason is that here I am a bigger target (blonde hair, blue eyes, etc.).
For the record, I know a handful of people who are Chinese and that I consider friends. And, sure, I'd love to meet more people like them.

Ditto this list. Upon our return to China for what we thought was going to be a second year with some of our "friends," we discovered the above the hard way--much to our disappointment. When this group of "friends" learned we could no longer be connived into free English lessons or additional free services, investments, etc., they became angry! Whew! What an eye-opener.
Fortunately, we have real friends, too. They are lovely, wonderful, sincere, and honest people whom we will miss upon our return to the U.S.

I read most of the posts here about this, but I can't find someone wrote about "no right to complain"? I can readily say I wrote something about the "their ability to complain". Why? Are you hurt? Sorry, I didn't mean you, I said most foreigners.:) Take it easy, as freeron said, we are mates here. Well, in my case maybe half, hehehe! But no offense when I say the truth, though it is not easy to accept. Relax, you are doing fine yet.

You know, I didn't mention anyone by name. Funny how you assumed I was talking about you, though.
I guess I got too close to the mark with that.
Heiney: "Somebody farted."
Z: "I didn't fart. Why did you say I farted?? It wasn't me!"
Heiney: "Hmm... now we know who farted."
Very Good!!!!! Bravo!!!!! Cheers to that!!!!
Is it very difficult to accept that one has carelessly putting words to someone's mouth? "...try to say that others have no right to complain "....Wow! I can not see it, and do you know the meaning of assume? No need to assume since I am the only one who wrote something about complain though you quoted it wrongly, maybe your hands were trembling then....hahahaha!!!! Wow!..right here..are you making people blind?
'Heiney: "Hmm... now we know who farted."[/quote]' These lines, a clear disguise of your inability to accept your fault and sooner or later it would destroy your potential I learned this when I was a kid long long time ago.
Take it easy...just take heed of Rhyme, and you would be fine...but it seems that you are some kind of.....you know. Remember where you are.
