Qin Yuan Chun restaurant 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hello. is anyone familiar with the Qin Yuan Chun restaurant on Hong Ling Road between the west gate and south gates of Dalian University of Technology?

If so, do you know the name of the nearby seafood restaurant on the same street?

One of my student friend from DUT, found out the name of the seafood restaurant.

It is Yangguangju Xuefujiudian (阳光居.学府酒店).

Does that sound right to you?

Another internet friend introduced me to one of Chairman Mao’s poems, “Snow”, because I mentioned the name of our favorite restaurant on Hongling Lu.

The poem was beautiful, and I can understand why many Chinese people memorize parts of it.

However, I am afraid that the English translation cannot capture all the beauty of the Chairman’s Chinese language poem.

I will search for English translations that attempt to capture the color and feelings of Mao’s works.

Of course, the more I learn Chinese, then the more I appreciate and understand the culture. Maybe someday I can read his poems in the original language and understand fully the meaning.

Have a good week.

Andy
