I can't get used to the long-life milk either. You can sometimes get cartons of fresh milk at Metro (I also saw them at Wal-Mart once, but only once). I buy the bags of fresh milk with green and blue on the package, and one of the characters in the brand name is the character for 3 (I can't read the others). You can get those at the grocery store in the basement of New Mart and at Carrefour, and there are probably other places that sell it too.

About the sour milk -
There is a substitution for sour milk or buttermilk - add white vinegar or lemon juice to regular milk. I usually use a couple tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice per cup of milk.
