I was wondering whether anyone has any information about two upcoming events in Dalian, namely the Autumn Festival in mid-September and the Fashion Exhibition later this month.

Does anything special happen besides the enjoyment of moon cakes? Where & when should a foreigner go to experience events associated with Moon Festival?

Similarly, I have read that there is a big parade to kick off the Fashion Exhibition. Does anyone know when and where to see it? THANKS in advance!

Fashion Festival is canceled this year, casualty of the Olympics. I'll try to find out about any activities related to the Moon Cake Festival.
