Desparately trying to find a grass pitch available to rent next Saturday afternoon, September 9th, from 12 noon till 5pm.

All the colleges we have contacted are conducting military training for the next few weeks, so they cannot rent out their playing fields.

Only criteria is that it is a real grass pitch with 2 goalposts....Does anybody have any ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I know you say you have contacted many colleges, but you could try the University of Light Industry. They have a good pitch and the rent is pretty cheap. Don't have a contact number, but you may get some help here from the board.

Cheers Dr Watson - we tried the Light Industry Uni and this year they are not renting the pitch to outsiders.

We are getting desperate now - would be willing to play on a good artificial pitch if anyone knows a place thats available on Saturday.

Dr Watson - just informed that we have found a pitch for Saturday - relief! Not exactly sure where it is yet, but pretty close to downtown.

Yes its for Gaelic football. Was getting a bit worried to be honest, coz there is a team from Shanghai coming to play us for the day on Saturday.

By the way, if anyone is curious about seeing a few crazed sporting lunatics (not me running around the pitch on Saturday, some possibly with sticks in their hands, you are all welcome to drop in for a look!
