Trader Joe, I don't control the banning, I can suggest but a banning is a serious action we don't take lightly and thus we have to ratify as a group. I never take Proff seriously, rather I laugh at him and admire his quick wits. I enjoy the banter with him because he helps me to get mods point across. If you know anything about the famous Chinese book, the Tao Of I Ching, for every of something, we must have the opposite present, to keep the changes flowing. I see Proff as my opposite. So I don't worry about his words, rather I enjoy the fun.

I remember all the drama last summer with Proff. Seems he got all pissy and deleted most of his posts, right?
Trader Joe, according to your profile, you've been a member since 1 September 2008. How is it you know all about these members who were supposedly banned before you became a member???
Furthermore, I just checked and Proff is NOT banned as you suggested.
I wonder who pissed in your cornflakes to make you all grumpy.
In regards to the suggestion of mods being specialized in a forum, the precedent was set with Xiaoxue when she was made mod only in the teaching forum.
Having mods specialized in particular forums makes them accountable. Having one mod responsible for a forum with one back-up/crossover mod will provide a level of accountability that is lacking. As it is, everyone is responsible for everything and no one is responsible for nothing.

One of these days you will actually let Goldman speak for himself.
No sooner than someone writes something with an opposing opinion to Goldman and, like a little lapdog, you come running.
Well if Proff wasn't banned, he should've been. If your defence of Goldman is that he has had 4 UserID's and only been banned from two and not three, I would guess that's a rather weak defence.
And you know it too.
As for my participation on this forum, this is my second time here. I used to live in Dalian, then left and then returned. I still, however, find it amazing that you attempt to question my knoweldge & presence here in defence of someone who has used at least four different UserID's. That's just laughable.
What I truly find quite hypocrital about the discussion on new TOS is that the posters (including those already anned members) who are making the most noise are the ones who were causing most of the problems in the past i.e. deciding when and if they could break and challenge both the exisitng TOS and moderators. If you don't like the rules, the answer is simple. Move on somewhere else. You are a guest on this site, you do not own it. Try working with the moderators, give them a little respect for their volunteered time and work with them.
Making demands, (considering you & some friends were constantly pushing the limts & sometimes exceeding the former TOS) just makes you look arrogant especially in light of your attempts to call foul on others and claim that they themselves are breaking the TOS.
One rule for them and another for you & buddies. What makes you so special?
