After a lot of research I have found a good telcom provider that supplies cheap telephone calls to overseas. Skype/VoIP is fine but the quality is no way as good as this
You can use a landline or mobile phone to call out
China to UK landline GBP 3p per minute
China to USA landline or mobile USD 5.8c
China to Australia landline AUD 7.5c

Thanks for the email and the heads up Philip. This sounds like a genuinely good telephone service. I'll give it a shot. If the quality is as good as the price it sounds like a great offer.
