Move soon, and please let us know of your landlord if they have more places up for rent. Seems to me like a basic lack of respect, whatever the culture. Don't know you well enough mate, did you have an introductory agent like a language school or estate agent, they may be ones to avoid?
I had some bad landlords in the past, back in the UK. As soon as I said that I was moving out things turned sour, so make little things like telephone, internet or electricity connections don't deteriorate. Also be cautious about anything that you've written down, like PIN (numbers), etc.

Sorry for laughing mate, but that's funny as hell.
I've never had the problem myself but it is common for them to turn up without prior notice.
I asked my neighbour who rents apartments for a living, and he told me that it is required by law to give 24 hours notice before a visit can me made. However he did go on to say that he only calls right before he visits his tenants.
Look on the funny side though. Your landlord will probably feel half the man that he did before. As for his wife, well...
