IamSummer, my wife is Chinese and I am proud of it. I can't say I personally would need your help before asking her for the help, but I never know because in this world we all need friends. But as a moderator here and knowing the goals of the leaders, I thank you because they welcome people like you here and with people like you here, it brings honor and prestige to DalianXpat and there are foreigners who would genuinely seek help from locals. Its not easy being in a country where the spoken and written language is different, and the culture.
Understander seems to think that men all have an ulterior motive. He likes to pick on Funkymother but actually I believe Funkymother would not be so eager to randomly pick on a girl as he says. About a year ago, Understander labelled other foreign workers in China as losers and hero wannabes to the local gals. He especially holds an opinion to the teachers not in the teaching profession with teaching degrees. He does not understand that people are kind. In every country there are bad people but there are many normal, kind people and we should not rush to judge each person by association. Hilary is another Chinese girl and she is so kind and caring but noone thinks she is a person to take advantage of because people just want to make friends or help. Please forget the words of the Understander.

Haven’t you learned anything in your miserable life to answer the right way.
I do not have problems with teachers without degrees or any other “I do not have a alternative in my home country immigrants”.
Please do not comment on things you do not anything about.
I know you pretty well and can fully comment that your knowledge about China is somewhat limited. Please do not try to push your Chinese wife in the discussion.
Its about the only thing which is Chinese about you.
@Iamsummer: thanks for your help offer but be sure that I know your real reasons.
Chinese people are under too much pressure from the whole society and family as that they might waste time on things which do not bring anything for them.
So have fun practicing your language(lessons are expensive) and looking for a boyfriend but be honest about it.

Understander, I have a boyfriend and won't look for another. And I didn't and won't expect that communication with you could replace the function of having lessons. Everybody does things with purposes. That's rational. And I am not afraid of your knowing my reasons. But don't use "real". Did I say something unreal?
Do you know the purpose of our studying English? That's not for catering to you( this is your personal point of view, right?), but for bringing China out and let you konw. How? Be your friend.

Understander, you do like to judge people. Anyway, I thank you for your posts here because in the spirit of the yin/yang from the great Chinese book of the Tao of I Ching, for every bit of good, we must have some bad. I take it further to say that you help us appreciate the good even more with your nonsense prattle here. The more you insult,the more I appreciate the good coming from this post. As for me knowing China? I can never learn enough and I won't claim I am an expert but I am grateful for my family and also people here whom are kind. They help me to learn more and its not a waste of time.
