My Chinese level is intermediate, so I'm really trying to get to meet more Chinese friends.
Sad to say it isn't good enough (by a long way!!) to be able to read a newspaper...but my focus is on speaking and listening.
I can hold a conversation about everyday topics with Chinese ppl.... but I still have another 1 - 2years of really using the language before I can call myself fluent.
