On a good note,
Metro seems to have increased their stock and varieties of fresh herbs. They've got a steady supply of herbs such as thyme, rosemary, oregano, basil, sage, lemongrass and a few others I can't recall. You can't beat fresh, and if you don't use it all you can freeze it into little ice cubes.
Metro also seem to have a better variety of imported products. I asked the manager to stock small cans of peeled plum tomatoes and one week later they were there.
If they don't have it just ask the manager, it worked for me.
