Went shopping, So many local and imported wines on the display.
Not sure which one is worth to buy?

I had tried a wine from Chile , name Campo Largo.
really impressive, but don’t know how much.

Also another one, Caberbet Sauvignon, an South Australian wine name King Ao. I’ve never seen it when I was in Sydney. May be it’s exported only wine. The taste is ok. It costs me 65RMB. But I prefer the above Chilean wine if the price is similar.

And today I feel like sweet wine, the lady,who works in the new mart ,really push me to get TonhWa, Chinese festival red wine. Cost me 35 RMB. Will try tonight and will let you know.

We have tried several wines, well my wife has, me not so much. She loves Zinfandels, but we have yet to find one. We actually found a "zinfandel" in Metro and tried it but it was actually a Merlot and not a Zin, even though it had Zinfandel on the bottle - lol.

If anyone knows where to get a real Zin, let us know we would appreciate it.

For the time being she likes the Great Wall and the Changyu Merlots both of which can be purchased for less than 60 RMB in the New Mart Grocery stores.

We actually found a bottle that looks to be kind of a Zinfandel, well at least it is rose in color - lol. The name of it is Actor and it is from Spain. So will let you know when she pops the cork on it. We also got it in the New Mart Grocery store for about 60RMB.

Purchased a bottle of "Dynasty" for 60 RMB at Tesco. Won't be doing that again as the taste was ... somewhat sour and, well, not good. I'll try the Great Wall next time.

The state of wine variety here in Dalian is sorely lacking in, well, variety. For everyday wine, I'm going to have to stick to Chile or Australian Cabs or Shiraz. Pricewise, they seem reasonable enough (40 to 100 RM.

Have not been to DCTwine. There's also a hotel on Renmin Rd with bright neon lights advertising wine. Eventually, I will check those places out.

You mentioned Zins. Are u referring to rose or reds? I love red Zins but I think I'll have better luck in winning the lottery than finding quality red Zins in Dalian (not literally but u know what I mean) ... I did see a 93 or 94 Chateau Margaux at Friendship Dept Store for 7000 RMB.

My favorite? Turley Zinfandel from CA. Simply superb.
