OK mate, the idea of this place not playing techno was so it was not like 2046, mai sha, mai sha 2, face, King/SOS, Viper etc. (in other words the rest of Dalians places to go and dance....)

Now its cool you like the place but if CLUBLove is just going to be another one of those places then whats the point?! They are aiming at a different section of the market/partygoer, whether they be Dalianese, Foreign or other, this place is billed to be Dalians first proper Hip Hop club (providing they leave Britney and Blue, hip hop remix or not well out of the equation!) and it's about time too.

I mean up until a few years back local people didnt even really take to techno, then someone liked it, then his mate did, then banana stuck on a CD then everyone and everyones mate liked it!

Also I have come to slowly realise that for some reason, things/trends take a longer time to mould or become a habit for both locals and foreigners alike here in Dalian moreso than in other cities and countries, whether it be a fashion trend (i.e look how converse sunddenly became huge here in the blink of an eye) or just the type of music listened to.

So, something fresh, different, an alternative place of music is just what Dalian needs or the nightlife here will stay as one tracked as it is at the moment, and it really is flat in terms of jumpin' clubs unless you absolutely love head shaking pop-hit remixing vocal house/techno which, I don't care who you are, nobody can take for longer than 3/4 hours in one evening unless you are up with the birds or drunk off your arse....

If you wanna listen to hardkandy or techno you can go anywhere mentioned in the list above right? This city is in dire need of some musical diversity when it comes to going clubbing! I seriously hope CLUBLove is the start of something different. Not because I hate house/techno which I don't but because at the end of the day, I think we all need a bit of choice especially in this sense.

I can only comment on the first night but I totally agree with Weev here. All the other clubs in Dalian seem to churn out the same CD to the same crowd and thus anything new, which may take some time to get into, MUST be a good thing.

I will be there tonight around 9pm for anyone interested in meeting/drinking and any other thing at all...

actually i had a great night last night. it was quite great as much as i expected. for daniela, im sure its a new club that has just been started and of course clubs/bars are most promotions/ads. maybe you should be supportive and have a lot of friends down come down to the club tonight! im going tonight again see you guys later.
