i want to find a hotel near that place. ive been told its great for finding a night/dark sky. since i love astronomy it would be one reason for me to visit dl.
does anyone have a link or two about a hotel in that area?

we went to jinshitan a couple of weeks back...the closest hotel where you can stay is the Golden Pebble Palace...just walking distance from the beach itself...
sorry but i dont have any other info just a name of the hotel...

In the village, there are 3 hotels. In building 10(single rooms 60rmb a night), beside Susan's pizza; and 2 in buildings 48 and 49 better quality and around 200 to 300 a night.
On the beach is Jinshimadi; it is one block from the Golden Bay bridge near the big black bull.
Golden Pebble Palace is beside the Dalian Maple Leaf International School.
The International Convention Centre is the best in town but 6 kms from the village beside the Jin Wan Golf Course and it is very expensive.
