Post subject: Try Kaifaqu
If you want to get out of town, go to Kaifaqu. Thanksgiving dinner at the Kerren Hotel, between Bank of China and Mykals on Jin Ma Lou. 128RMB (5% goes to charity) Meal includes gifts and games. Teachers from Dalian Maple Leaf International School will be there at 6:30 on Fraiday November 25th. There is life beyond Dalian.

About Kaifaqu? I wonder how many times have you visited, but anyways I prefer to go downtown rather than any here.

HHS, was this to me? I've been there maybe 20 times? I dunno... I never counted. Kaifaqu is what Dalian would be if it wasn't so diluted. I mean, Dalian has LOADS of great places, but it takes hours to get to any of them because of traffic, distance, and the crap in between. Kaifaqu, though more limited in selection, has some great restaurants, good bars/pubs, shopping, less traffic and a number of other wonderful things.

Nah, there are lots of nice restaurauts for sure. But when I think of having some fun with friends, or shopping for some clothes, Dowtown still is a better choice for me though I'm lazy sometimes when I enjoy the traffic convience here and the tranquil landscape. By the way, for us 2x, it's dead here at night execpt for those massage parlours and KTV places where I'm not really interested in.
