Hi,

I wanted to know where to best rent an apprtment when I will be working in "QiXian Ling, Hi-Tech. Industry Zone".
I dont want to travel to long to work but on the other hand also not to be too far away from the center.
Do you also know if there is a bus/tram going to the area I will work. Maybe even possible by bike?

Dalian High-tech Industrial Zone is pretty close to Dalian Software Park, where there are a number of nice residential quarters.

There is a tram/light-rail linking High-tech Zone to the city center. The Zone is also well connected by a few bus lines.

In almost all the main streets in Dalian, there are no special lanes for bikes. Riding a bike in Dalian is not very convenient.

Depending on exactly where your office is, there are loads of new aparetments to rent in that area - it will depend on the exact location of your office as to whether you will need transport if you live out there, most places are fairly near the housing. Loads of my friends live there as the medical university has another campus in Qi Xian Ling, and they have great apartments, ranging from 1 - 4 bedrooms across the main road from the Luming and Dell buildings. Its easy to get into town as has been said. I studied at that campus last year when I was living in town - better to live there then commute! Its grown loads in the last year, there are a lot more people around and more of an atmosphere, and coffee shops etc. PM me for more details, I can find out the name of the complexes around there if you need it - there are rental offices which sorted them out in no time.
Riding a bike around there is only for the suicidal among us! Even crossing the road is a skill!

Trolley bus No.202 , bus 28 , 531 route to central part of city.

There are several living community near by there , one is named Silicon Holiday , another one is named New Science Garden , all of them constructed within last 5 years .
