Da Yu is the Chinese pronunciation of the characters. In Japanese the same characters are pronounced Tai Ryou. That's probably where the confusion came from.

Thanks Jess214. This clarifies everything! Moreover, because on their business card which I took from the restaurant is written Tairyo(in PinYin) so I was almost sure that this should be the correct name. Thanks for you clarification!

No problem. It's often confusing for me since I hang out quite a bit with the Japanese crowd here and have to try to remember three names for every place in the city. (i.e. Kai fa qu = Kai hatsu ku = the Development Zone)
