Hi Seven:

SO now that this new bar is 7 months old what is the verdict?

Worthwhile, or?
Where are some good Dalian bars with an expat crowd on the weekend, or nay night for that matter.

I will be in Dalian more and will begin ot need to find things to do.

you can try jds bar in olympic square, dave's bar near renmin lu or club love behind pearl bohai hotel...

There is a small japanese bar I think people should give it a try, especially when you tired of noisy places, see: http://www.dalianxpat.com/content/view/214/403/
The owner is japanese, he cook very nice western food and they play some decent music also. Many japanese go there, since the bar is not big(10/12 seats probably), so sometimes they are full between 9:00pm to 11:30pm.
