As our site continues to grow (approaching 2000 members), it has become increasingly difficult for our small team of Moderators to deal with posts that are not submitted in the proper category, and “spammers”.
Specifically, posts regarding: “Places to Live”, “Commercial” and “Employment: Jobs Wanted”, are to be submitted via the “Classifieds” section; “Employment: Jobs Available” are to be submitted via the “Jobs” section. Upon review, they will be posted as soon as possible.
With that said, we will also be instituting a new “3 Strikes Your Out” policy for “spammers” and those who do not abide by the Terms of Service (ToS). Those who are found to be posting inciting comments, or not following the ToS, will be sent a warning via PM by a Moderator or Administrator; if said individual continues to “spam” or break the rules, after receiving 3 warnings, they will be banned from the site and their IP address recorded.
We are undertaking this effort to lessen the burden on the Moderators and provide a peaceful environment here at DalianXpat for all.
