I am looking to see if there is any interest in setting up a bowling competition one evening. My thoughts on this are as such:

1. There would be an entry fee, maybe 20-50rmb per person paid to DalianExpat to cover the costs of the prizes.

2. Everyone plays as long as they want, just a few games, several hours, it's up to the individual person.

3. Winners are decided by who posts the highest scoring game at any point throughout the night. We'll have a representative from DalianExpat monitor the games, and after a good scoring game, have the representative come over and check the score, and record it.

4. At the end of the evening, the highest 3 scores win prizes (to be determined later depending on level of interest)

It would be my hope we can get anywhere from 20-50 people in on this and make it a big event where we can take a lot of photos, and make a lot of new friends in some "friendly" competition

We'd probably hold the event on a weekend afternoon, say 1-5pm or 5-9pm so that people can still enjoy their friday and saturday nights out

It sounds very fun, have a good time and at the same time get to meet many xpat friends, I will be in dalian in late jan. I would very much like to join, are you going to set this up monthly, please keep me informed.

If I were still in Dalian, I would walk away with all of the prizes, I used to be nearly a professional, 190 average in league play and 205 in Tournament play. Pity I couldn't take part. I'd like to see some real pot games, that would be cool.

Sounds like a pretty neat idea, SR. Could be fun, especially if we could have some beer involved as well... haha!

A weekend afternoon/evening could also work, I think. But yes, by all means, it could be a nice time to be had by all and sundry.

Last event was good, this one promises to be too. Perhaps within the next week or at least 4 weeks away though, to avoid Christmas/New Year plans.
