Anyone here knows any info about the English books of various titles available and on sale at Dalian University of Technology?
I was told about it by a friend but she was just told about it too, so I wanna know more from any of the cool peeps here. Thanks.

Books on every subject from English to Chemistry, basically everyhing that a Uni teaches plus some paperbacks. Average of 15-30 rmb each depending on size. Ahuge selection but only about 2-3 hours opening on a saturday so you need to go early.

Have they increased the prices recently? I use to pay 5RMB for the paperbacks, and 10RMB for the hard covers. But granted, I haven't been there for quite some time.
It is like rickus4 said... an enormous selection of text books - from chemistry to calculus. The English novels (paperbacks and hard covers), are quite limited, but I have been able to get some pretty good books there. And it is cheap, even if they did up the prices recently.
It also depends on which Saturday morning you get there. They might just be unpacking some good books at that time. It's a bit 'the luck of the draw' kind of thing, I suppose. Also, they seem to be open pretty randomly on Saturday mornings. With the holiday season mostly over now, it should be open most Saturday mornings now. But don't be surprised when you get there, and it's closed. The best time is probably from about 9 in the morning, for 2 - 3 hours onwards.
It's done in the old library at DUT. If you're standing behind the Moa statue, (looking in the same direction as Chairman Mao), the entrance to the old library is 45 degrees behind you, over your right shoulder, if you understand what I'm getting at here. You'll know you're in the right place if it has very low ceilings. I always need to walk in a semi-crouched down position whenever I'm there. A bit of a pain sometimes...
As said before, it doesn't have a great selection, but it's better than nothing. It is a place in Dalian to get English books on the cheap. Worth a shot... and a shout.

Thanks for the info guys! Been busy, haven't checked this thread for quite awhile. It's just a pity I can't go there on Saturdays because of work. Anyway, thanks a lot!
