My name is Mody, a Dalianese, I don't know myself welcomed here or not since I am a Chinese. I am working for CITS(China International Travel Service)in the Euro-Asia Dept.
I want to orgnize a series of tours to show Xpat guys around Dalian with a coach and a English Speaking tour guide (Maybe myself) with no profits, for just in this way to know more friends and gain a good repute and show the professional tour explaination.
What do U think? if you agree, I'll post the detail itinerary.

I think it's great idea. I have many friends who will be in dalian for the first time. I think they will appreciate an english speaking tour guide. I need more info. thanks

I'll post the itinerary soon... the best time to go is after mid-April or May when the leaves and lawn turn green.

I guess if you're not planning on trying to make money on this and are honestly just trying to introduce yourself and your services to the local expat community, then it would be a great idea.

I often find it difficult to find a good ticketing (not really a tour agent) agent for airfare when I want to travel. I prefer to purchase the flight and arrange everything else on my own. I tend to be rather loyal to one agent if I feel I've been given a good deal.

I think a lot of expats are the same in that they'll be rather loyal to one or two particular businesses if they feel that they've treated fairly and with respect.

Heck, given a choice between:
1) Someone who is honest and respectful, but is a bit more expensive or further away

and

2) Someone who is rude or disrespectful but closer or cheaper

I'll choose to go further and spend more money any day.

Now, if you're doing this as an advertisement, I think the administrators of the site would prefer you put your notice in the classified sections or whatever.

If you provide more details or contact the admins of the site, I'm sure they will be glad to offer suggestions.

Sorry for the relayed response, because I am busying with the coming cruises 'Statendam' and 'Chrystal Symphony'. the ships are coming on 31/03,01/04,03/04,18/04.thousands of foreigners and crews.

I am not making money on this, just want this opportunity to know the expats. the expenses the tourist have to share is the coach fare. any way, it'll be very cheaper for each if there are enough members. I myself will be the English tour guide, so no tour service charge.

Greet guests, starting the excursion with the tour to the Ocean Melody Park(10.00,agency discount depends on guest number), relaxing with strolling along the beach.
