QUOTE: I think Honglaowai shows Chinese people that real laowai respect them and this is a good sign. I just don't like that he prances around in front of a camera without shirt and I have seen many excellent Chinese speaking laowai on CCTV, not including Dashan.
On his blog, Hong Laowai says: "True Communists say that it is not clothes, but ideas that are the most important!"
Hope that answers your question, HD.

Good question rickus. Every KISS concert I have ever seen live or from video, its the women who can't seem to keep their shirts on, not the guys. Now, that it better than watching honglaowai sing songs, in my opinion.

Hey Huangdi, now you're talking - KISS. But what about Hendrix and Dylan. I'm also old enough to remember the Beatles at Shay Stadium in the sixties and what a gig that was. I also would like to mention the Who. Even CSI has them as its theme tune eh!

It is interesting that you mention these groups. The Who inspired KISS with their showmanship and the Beatles inspired KISS to write and be great. In fact Who was famous for smashing guitars that Paul Stanley now does, though in those days you mention it almost bankrupt the Who. Gene Simmons was watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show and mentioned he was so impressed by the popularity of the Beatles that so many young girls were screaming at them saying "(explicative)me", and he knew he wanted to be like that. Hendrix is the father of modern guitar rock, respect, much respect!!! Dylan, Im not much familiar with him, though he is well respected.
