HI Lizvid, there are some schools at Peace Plaza (Heping Guanchang) that you might want to check out. I know of Gymboree and Fast Track Kids, and there are also others like Kid Art, Reader Rabbit, etc.

I have to agree with the FunkyM. Although I understand Yapi's recommendations, I have to say that those are activity centers that do little for kids but provide a place for them to play. First off, they don't have enough teachers in each classroom to tend to each kid's needs, thus giving parents a break. Parents usually have to be present, or another gardian. Secondly, what two year old has a large enough attention span to want to hold a color marker and draw on paper for 45-50 minutes? From personal experience, none. Kids aren't even close to being decent learners before 2 1/2 and then they are easily lured by temptations such as vibrating mobiles, loud noises from outside classrooms, food, drinks, crawling bugs, and more. Im sure some people still in that kind of business might say that those are excellent choices for kids early development and if this would include the room with balls and climbing equipment, I'd agree. But there is so much more and mostly its the parents who learn things but they don't take what they apply and teach the kids or else the kids won't want to listen. There are some good massage classes for infants and the rest of the kids want to play and crawl. You can do that for much cheaper at Roosevelt Mall on the 3rd floor, under the Food Court, with the big giraffe statue.
If you want your kids to learn then they should be ready to learn and if that is the scenario, Maple Leaf kindergarten is really the best option for you. I went there once to look it over and it really is a professional operation with the concern for developing the kids, not just sucking in money for profit.

Well, he did say Zhongshan District, which is why Peace Plaza came to mind. Maple Leaf is all the way in (or even past) KFQ.
However, if you're willing to travel, then yes, there's Maple Leaf International School. Dalian American International School will also start having a full pre-K program starting next year.

Oops, I thought that there were two branches of Maple Leaf Kindergartens. My Singapore friend is a proprietor for the kindergartens. I will ask her. I thought the second branch was 10 minutes or so from Shangrila.
