Is being "Friendly" a gift or a challenge? 2 Months, 1 Week ago

Ladies and gentlemen of this website. I read once about one post here describing how friendly are some people here in Dalian, particularly the Americans. I need to know is being friendly a gift or when is it become a challenge? Not so friendly are also welcome to contribute their ideas.
Personally, I believe that it boils down to family life. If you grow up with a happy family, having a father and mother with less fights and shouting at home, I think one would grow how to appreciate others by being friendly and normally seek some goodness in each man and try to avoid or shun that which does not or can not build friendship.

But what about if you grow up in a family that is always at odds with one another and one parent is abusive or an alcohlic. Maybe this means you are the opposite because you've seen the affects that it has on family life. You grow up going down a different avenue and swear you will never go down the same road?

For every action there is a reaction. Sometimes being friendly is gifted, sometimes, a challenge. It depends on prejiduce and upbringing, environment, and barriers. I would like to say that noone wakes up saying, "I am going to piss of the next person I see today, even if its my closest friend". But things can and do happen and if the bond is strong problems are overcome. One thing I can point out about US Americans, unless a friend really did something bad, like steal his buddy's woman, most don't hold grudges. I don't see this in China though, people could remain angry forever once things happen to cause another to lose face. Holding a grudge is not good for health and after we cool down and take time to think, we prefer to ask why things went wrong and try to correct in the future.

Yes? Glad you agree. I thought about you all day and I can't want to show you a "friendly" beer.
