how about a trip to the beach?

beach volleyball?
ultimate frisbee?

Another possiblity:
My korean classmates play a cool game on a tennis court. It's like soccer-volleyball. You kick a football over the net. It can bounce once on your side, and your team has ta maximum of two touches (just like volleyball) before you send it back. Work best when you're playing with ninja asians who can kick really high (i.e. spike the ball at the net).

Rick,

You remind me of a great game where there's a reasonably soft ground.

I tried Aerobie but it went out of control. I think I'll try the frisbee next time.

Thx for the idea, I'll give it a try cuz there are free tennis courts next to my house
I'm not sure about their ninja skills though. lol

I know Kabaddi from back home, but does anyone know where there is soft ground in Dalian that the public can use? Finding 50m2 of gravel is hard enough.
