There are several cigar stores dotted around town, the best of which is under the Big Apple restaurant. The selection isn't bad, as for the brands and prices, I'll take a look next time I'm down there.

The cigar from Anhui Province comes ten to a clear and red plastic box. In Shanghai they are 15 rmb and in Nanchang 25 rmb.
Imported cigars are usually much more expensive like 300 rmb each and up.
I am looking for those cheap Chinese cigars. The ones that look like a dog turd, taste like crap and smell like a fart. That is a parody on comments of the RJR Tobacco President when he first smoked their expiramental smokeless tobacco cigarette, Premier. ABSOLUTELY TRUE STORY
My marketing lecture on tobacco points out that "ette" is French for small. The CIGAR - Small "cigarette" was a product designed for the ladies because they did not look dignified smoking cigars, something about a sexual connotation.
I guess they overlooked the sexual implications for men smoking cigars! lol

If cheap and Chinese is what you're looking for, then you're in luck. They are sold on just about every street corner in the city centre. Again, I'm not sure how much they sell for but I can find out for you.

There is a place in the Kempinski Hotel outside the German restaurant there that sells cigars, but they're a bit pricey.
I'll have to check out the place under Red Apple. A lot of the places I've seen just have Cuban cigars, and I promised myself I would not have one of those until Fidel died. After that, I'll be happy to fire one up in celebration!
