The last flaming fiasco was western bashing, filled with racism AND a clear attempt to make the entire thread out to be a "Protect the Chinese from Western Devils" thread. And, what I read the "Racism" post, that was also what was again being attempted there. You people 'read' into things between the lines that are not even there, but yet, when it is as plain as the nose on your face, your blind as bats!!

Hi all,

True enough.

I don't think this was Prof's intention in the slightest. I think he had only peaceful reasons for posting a new thread. I think he was neither flaming nor trolling.

However, if the replies to his original thread (which I did not have the chance to read) were flaming, then I think the replies, not the original post, should have either been edited, locked or deleted at the discretion of the moderator (Big Al).

Nobody is Big Al bashing. However we have lost probably our most constructive user, Prof who I nicknamed 'the thread master', and for good reason.

His intentions were harmless and he could not have intended to troll. If those who replied got upset and started flaming then it is those who are at fault not Prof.

If I had read the peplies I would have a better idea of why tho thread was removed.

Prof rules! If you're out there Prof.... "Come back!" cuz DalianXpat needs more people like you.

Yours confused,

Mat

what did i tell ya?

you cant do anything by deleting that post man..... coz look, we all start talking about it more - as I predicted, this deleting has just caused a new set of concerns.

we've seemed to have lost prof. according to Mat which is a real shame, and now we have quite a few very concerned members.....

which will only grow.....

Doc,

At the time of the thread you were drawn into, there were no moderators and Jim had lost his laptop.

probably wasn't true.

New controls, lets just use them in moderation, somewhat of a tautology.

Now see, all you infantile, teat sucking children could have only waited for Jim to check, and he reposted it just like Al had told you whiners at the beginning, but oh no! You had to piss and moan and lower yourself to childish behaviour. And to top it off, you grovel to someone who only posted things he snatched from other sites that are easily accessible from here... Pandapassport... The Humanaought.. etc. and each one has links to other DALIAN EXPAT/ENGLISH boards and what not. Granted, the post were good, but anyone could have done it, but no one else had thought of it yet, we all checked out the sites ourselves before when went on to plagiarize them. Wow, I see the old ways cropping up, grovel to the (in your mind) emperor. Pathetic. I think Al was right to hold it, I would have jumped on it, because it was starting up what had been put to sleep. It would have drawn flies like jack/fari/huifei all over again, and you all @*&% know it.
