DalianXpat.com focuses on life in and around Dalian.
Our primary intention is to help, serve and support the International community and our local friends.
Went for lunch with another expat friend, and we were in awe at the place....unreal, felt like being in Fremantle or Subiaco....the service was great, and our lunch was awesome....I am taking hubby there for dinner tonight...and definately will make this a frequent place to visit!

Nice place, but............, Friday, 29 February 2008
I've only been in Dalian for a few weeks, and I found Strollers while wandering around town.
The food, service, and cost was very good. The only problem I had was not with the restaurant but with some of the customers! It's a small place and to have 2-3 groups of people start smoking, it nearly chased me out.
I just could not breath! Some better ventilation and maybe a corner set aside for non-smokers at least during the dining hours would help a lot.
I don't mind those that want to smoke. I used to smoke too, I guess that's why I am real sensitive to it.
26-3-08 Now that is SERVICE ! ! ! On my previous post I commented about Strollers being nice "But" there was a smoke problem. I went back last night and found a section set aside for non smokers. Now that is service I have found nowhere else in Dalian! My hat is off to the lass that runs the place. She minds the details !

Great Place, Great Food, Thursday, 03 January 2008
Great place, feels so cosy, just like home. Great food and great service. Really had fun eating there, we sat there for a while even after we had our dinner, as the place is so cosy. Great place if you want to have a place for relaxing with great food.
The soup is nice too, had the french onion soup, simply perfect. However if the garlic bread is not a slice of bread but is a french toast, it'll be great.
I'll definitely visit again.

Great food! Nice settings, Wednesday, 24 October 2007
Went there based on the review here... when i first walked in, the settings was very pleasant!very 60's with lots of old stuff all over... very nicely renovated.very classic.
With good ambiance,i proceeded to see the menu. Lots of yummy food...nachos,onion rings, bacon rolls, soups, and lots of steak. Price is good too..steak cost about RMB58-88.
the vegetable soup is fantastic served in a nice bowl too! 10/10
The T-bone steak is overly done becos i told them to do 80% - Regreted...
however, the black pepper sauce is also fantastic 10/10.
Overall, per person will set you back about RMB100.
I took Steve Floods advice and gave it a try. Fantastic place.
Great food, Great service, Nice people and a comfortable place to hang out. There is a good selection on the menu. I went with a group and we tried a wide variety of the dishes. Not a single complaint from anyone!
