Very good food indeed,but honestly so far I havent found a bad Korean restaurant.
Anyway ,I had a very good lunch at this place.The restaurant is very neat and pretty big.At the entrance they even have a small playground for kids.
We had some grilled meat, the traditional pancakes with seafood and onions,some mixed noodles with veggies(delicious) , some noodles soup, grilled veggies and of course the various small cold dishes, everything accompanied by a very nice wheat tea.
The service was very good, the menu had the English name of the dishes and it was pretty much self-explanatory, every dish being accompanied by a photo.Not a very big selection of dishes though.
The price was also good: 260rmb for 4 persons.
Definetely two thumbs up but as I said there are many great Korean restaurants in town.
Last Saturday I had to pay a visit to this hospital.Initially I was told that they don't have any English speaking doctors on Saturday but if I really want one I'll have to pay 120rmb and they'll call one.After 1/2 an hour of waiting I got what they call a guide which was a nurse from the VIP ward.She was very helpful indeed, being able to easily find her way through the hospital. But the doctors I've seen were bearly speaking any English.The nurse was doing the translation but she was struggling as well. I had an ultrasound and while I was lying there almost half naked, a man came in(and he wasn't a doctor, he was a patient).There were a bunch of nurses/technicians there and they didn't even bother to do anything until I asked them to pull the drape and close that partition.
The washrooms are a mess(the airport has better washrooms),the consultation rooms have the door opened, 3-4 patients waiting in a small room while someone is examined behind a courtain.No privacy,no confidentiality. The medical examination was really poor. I've been told that the doctors working during the week-end are not that good .I hope whoever goes there during the weekdays will be luckier than me.
Definitely not a very good experience, it doesn't resemble anything I've seen in hospitals in Canada, Germany or even Romania. I've been treated and also worked in hospitals in these three countries so I know what I'm talking about.
My 4 years old son is very excited whenever we’re going at this salon. He always has fun playing with the car or the motorcycle he is sitting in and also watching a nice Disney cartoon. The staff is very friendly and they’re doing a great job.The haircut my son gets is very nice and they will cut exactly as much as you want. Sometimes I am inclined to ask them to give me a hair cut .If I would only fit in those cars...
Almost every week my son is trying to convince me that his hair is too long and we have to go back there.
For only 30rmb is definetely a worthwhile experience.
We had an enjoyable dinner at this cozy French restaurant. The place has two floors. Downstairs the décor is simple and elegant .Upstairs also pretty elegant but a bit bold with red being the predominant color. However the dimmed lights and the candle lights make the place quite cozy.All this plus a good selection of french music and you have the perfect setting for a romantic dinner
The menu is both English and Chinese but the selection is not too big (6 appetizers, 8 main courses and 6 desserts).Prices for appetizers range between 38 and 88rmb, main course 58-200 rmb and desserts 38 rmb. We had some lamb, salmon salad, roasted chicken, pork chops. Everything was very tasty other than the chops which were a bit chewy. The portions are French size (small) and therefore ordering an appetizer beside the main course is highly recommended. They also have a few set menus for 1 or 2 persons. Not too many choices of dishes for kids though. No pasta, no pizza not even fries on the menu. However, they were able to customize the menu and cook some fries for our son. The portion they brought was big enough to feed 3 people. Coffee was very good (selection of 6 different types of coffee) and the wine list had a small but good selection of French wines. As for the beer I only saw import beer (18rmb/bottle) but I’m pretty sure they have some domestic ones as well.
Overall the place is quite nice,very promising and we will probably give it another try one day.Maybe by then they will have a larger selection of dishes.I also hope that they will be able to do something about those typical Chinese washrooms.
Entering the restaurant you’re struck by the opulence of the place. It looks like it was carved in a huge marble block. The big chandelier it’s almost the size of a soccer field.
They’re saying is one of the most expensive restaurants in town.Well,I had dinner there twice and I can say that the price wasn’t higher than what I would have paid at Tapas or Riviera. 4 people, 8 beers and lots of food and the total was 550rmb.The second time we went there our group was a bit bigger (4 and ½ people) but we paid less (maybe not that much beer). The seafood was excellent. We had some sweet and sour fish which was fantastic. A bit crisp on the outside but also very tender and was practically melting in the mouth. We also had roasted pork ribs which were absolutely amazing.
The menu is both English and Chinese , the service is very good and the staff very friendly and not in your way. Three floors full of private rooms give you the opportunity of enjoying a quiet and relaxing dinner away from any noise, smoke or smell from the kitchen.Plus,if you have kids you don’t have to be worried about them wandering around in the restaurant.
The restaurant is always busy so booking in advance is a must.
