This is my third time to shop at Carrefour . I visited this supermarket because I was looking for Western food. Luckily, the first time I visited I found what I was looking for in the way of pickled foods and mustard. I was able to find my favorite foods as well as some black current jam. Aside from a variety crackers, cookies and cereals, there are many other products from tomatoes paste to imported chocolate. It is the only place in town where you can get balsamic vinegar and various canned tomato products.
Additionally, I find Carrefour to be clean well stocked in other departments. They do accept bank cards, however, bring your passport for verification otherwise you pay cash.
One last thing, keep in mind they may not have a particular item in stock at the time you go shopping. The first two times I shopped the foreign food shelves were well stocked. The third time the stock was rather low.
