Dr. Liu Yan is indeed a fantastic doctor who goes beyond her duties. We had only been in Dalian for two months when our 2.5 years old daughter was down with a very bad stomach virus. She was vomiting non-stop and had constant diarrhea. Needless to say we were very nervous about the level of medical attention she would received given our limited Chinese.
We are very thankful to Dr. Liu Yan who gave her undivided attention to our baby. She was on the phone with me almost every hour checking on her progress, and even made a house call on the second evening when her situation was not improving. Our little one was well within days.
In addition, Dr. Liu Yan also helped my father-in-law who had a minor stroke while visiting us in February. In my state of panic, I decided to call her for some guidance. Instead she willingly contacted the right doctors and made all the necessary arrangements for his treatments and tests. She was by our side at the hospital for half a day, acting as a translator and a consultant. We are all very grateful to her for her time and dedication.
As far as our experience go, she is one of the best doctors we've ever seen.
