Reluctant to accept the high prices quoted to my Chinese collagues for a round trip ticket to Canada, I did some research to find an agency that provided English-speaking staff. I found this one and later learned that in addition to Shelley (who helped me) that there are several agents that speak good English. Shelley helped me to get my ticket at a lower price and was patient in meeting my needs. When I visited the agency to pay for my ticket, I learned that this company has been in business since 1998. I found the staff, especially Shelley, to be helpful, efficient and professional. I highly recommend Guohang Airline and Travel Service.
Please note that they have moved. Here is the information that Shelley sent me:

You win some. You lose some. Based on Xiaoxue's review (January 18, 2008), I visited Luke at ErQi Square to get a blouse and pair of slacks made. The blouse turned out to be too tight and the slacks too loose. So much for a tailor-made outfit to fit MY measurements. I have subsequently had the slacks adjusted by a seamstress who has a shop near my home (because Luke's shop is too far away to return for adjustments.) Will I use this tailor again? Most definitely NO.
After reading the two earlier positive reviews, I went to Soho for a haircut. It was worth every mao! For 90 RMB (I usually pay 15 RMB!) I not only received a hairstyle that suits me, but I also had my neck and shoulders massaged while Jenny, the hairstylist, was busy with another customer. Because I have fine hair, I was delighted that Jenny was able to create a style with fullness. In my two years in Dalian, it's the best haircut I've ever received and I highly recommend this hair salon to anyone who hasn't been satisfied with their current hairdresser. JoyM
