Oktoberfest - Great Time, Saturday, 03 November 2007
We went for a friend's birthday last night and were treated to a 3 piece Bavarian band singing German drinking and polka songs. What a blast. The food was fantastic but I agree with the earlier comments about the beer. It was tasty but after drinking 3 liters in a few hours I should have been face down but felt almost zero effects of alcohol. All in all a great time !

We had the Caesar Salad which isn't really a Caesar but quite good and healthy portion. The bruschetta was good but Lucky's in Kai Fa Qu is some of the best I've had. My wife and I shared a steak (Japanese rib eye) that was a bit thin for 160 rmb but a decent cut of beef which is a rarity in China. We also shared the Canadian Salmon which was quite tasty for 48 rmb. I am from the west coast of Canada and so while not as fresh as I am used to it was still decent. The service was decent but not over the top. I would definitely give it another try but then I came to Dalian in 2000 when the western cuisine was virtually nonexistent.
