I came here after looking for an internet hotspot area where I could also get a quick bite to eat. I got a beef hotplate with rice and an egg for around 44 rmb. The food was good, although the beef was a bit too chewy. The staff were relatively friendly, although I ran into a situation where they charged me 5 kuai to add an egg on top of my rice, when the picture showed the same thing for 39 kuai. Anyways, I still prefer this place to Starbucks, although it is slightly dimmer, and not as polished
Hu's Coffee, located above the Starbucks at Li Gong Da Xue North Gate, is a wonderful spot to enjoy food and drink in the presence of some friendly staff. It was about 15 RMB for a coffee, and I paid around 30 for some Indonesian fried rice which was tasty. I was able to sit on a nice coach and surf the internet on the one hand while eating on the other hand. The staff spoke good English, and were also simply friendly, so I really recommend this spot
Just got here from the states, got coffee, and this turned out to be my first success in finding a hotspot location in Dalian. Went shopping then came back. The coffee was good, but they didn't have any food. When I came back they recommended that I go up to the second floor and try Hu's Cafe, which also turned out to have some very good food;
