The place is decent, music is nice and at least they have some drive and can imitate jazz to some extent. Any visitor can also sing a song for 50 yuan fee, the last time I was there my friends asked me to sing "Podmoskovnie vechera" that is one of the nost famous Russian songs here. No wonder that all musicians knew it and even tried to add some jazz improvisations, anyway the overall athmosphere of the club was great.
We were in this temple today with a couple of friends, the place is nice and peaceful. Before you see the temple, there will be an apple and pear garden, then a statue of Guan Shi Yin, surrounded by the Guardians of Dharma, and a beautiful pond with lotuses and fish (you should take some bread to feed it, otherwise the Guardians of Dharma will not let you pass to Guan Yin).
The temple itself, although seem so be newly reconstructed, is very traditional in spirit. The monks are real, some of them are real professionals in some Buddhist arts and sciences, if you find a way to ask them or to see.
They provide a free meal to everyone who asks, and their overall hospitality is the best manifestation of Buddhist path.
The prices are rather cheap for the restaurant located in the city center, right opposite the Wanda Huafu, on the Changsheng Road. Although there are not so many clients there yet (the restaurant is just newly-opened), the service becomes better and better each time I visit it.
Some Chinese waitresses are speaking Russian, others can simply project smiles that imprint so deep in the heart that even the common Russian borsch tastes like ambrosia, making you unable to resist the temptation.
Traditional Russian dumplings, salads, potato with beef and classic vodka produce most positive impression, and refined Russian music sounds in resonance with spacious atmosphere, bringing back the sweetest memories.
