Dinner at Olive Garden, Sunday, 11 February 2007
My husband and I had a nice dinner at the Olive Garden. The staff was incredibly friendly - so friendly in fact we couldn't wait to leave - they were really over the top and it made us quite uncomfortable. The restaurant was basically empty, so we became the center of attention. The food was good, but not excellent. The wine was very expensive, even for Dalian. We had a seafood pasta and veggie pizza. The pasta and sauce tasted fresh, which was good, but the dishes were not anything special. The price seemed high for what we had, but I suppose one must pay a premium for Italian in Dalian. In the future, I think I will just cook Italian at home.
