 Relaxing place to eat and read,  Monday, 05 March 2007 The box is a nice and quit restaurant/bar near dongzai university trust mart. The pizza is tasty but the best best thing about the place is a small book shelf with about 50 english books. If you feel bored and lonely on sunday afternoons its a good place to crush in, grap a beer and sth too eat and read a view chapters. If you are nice the fuwuyuan might even turn the strange and slightly annoying mix* of enya alike love songs and boy group blabla down a little.

 chill out bar,  Monday, 05 March 2007 Noahs ark provides a nice environment to have a cheap drink in a foreigner friendly environment with good music. If you bring a friend you may even use one of the public chess, connect-4 or dice games to play a little. The pizza is good there but it really needs some time to be done so you better dont be too hungry when you arrive there. The place is a usual hang-out of several english teachers in dalian and a really good choice to have a beer in quiet atmosphere after work. By the way, I totally agree with Bullitts review.

 Best dance club for expats with R&B passion,  Monday, 05 March 2007 Even though there are lots of bars in Dalian, most places provide no atmosphere at all. JD bar, however, is one of the most reliable places for some fun to really decent prices. The reason for that are of course the "unruly attention seeking russian girls" (who granted you permission to leave your monastery sister zoogles ???) who are actually the most entertaining factor in that place. The music is the the usual we-have-only-one-CD-on-stock R&B mix. Anyways, it provides the right beat for a lick-the-salt-of-her-skin-dance in the late hours. Beer and tequilla shots for just 10RMB help to reach the sexy-and-drunk-russian-girl table dance point faster than in most other bars. For anyone who experienced nightlife in Beijing, shanghai, harbin or even changchun, JD will be nothing but an average club but its sad and its true: JD is pretty much the best dance bar in dalian*(I refer to places with a steady number of at least 150 clients on a friday/saturday night during 22.00 to 01.00.)
