Dalian , don’t forget to pamper yourself with an occasional foot massage. Sometimes called reflexology in the West, it is a great way to relax and it is fun to have foot massages done as a couple. The standard price seems to run from 28 to 32 RMB.
It is about an hour-long experience that starts with soaking your feet in very, very hot water that includes an herbal mix of sorts. While your feet are soaking, the masseur will massage your neck and shoulders. Then typically, one foot will be rubbed with some sort of cream and wrapped in a towel and then the masseur will work the other foot.
My masseur pokes and prods every part of my foot, with some of the poking, pulling, and bending being a little painful; but he just grins when I express anguish. When it’s over, your feet will feel wonderful.
