Under full sail on the Yellow Sea

With the unlikely name, Dalian Ideal Infinite Yacht Club, this company owns two large catamaran sailboats that are available for rent for a three hour period at a price of 3000 rmb.    I had the opportunity to experience this tranquil sailboating experience first hand under the expert skill of Captain Zhou Wenge.

One can just enjoy the sun and the water and sip complimentary beer and watch the sea birds, sea cucumber fishing boats, or the Dalian cityscape as seen from the sea.  If you want to push the envelope and be more adventurous you can learn a bit about sailing and take the tiller yourself.  Of course, the boat can drop anchor and passengers can swim in the dark blue water of the Yellow Sea .  Fishing is also an option.  On my trip, the first mate caught two small fish.

 

Passengers may bring food and drink aboard and have a picnic at sea if they wish.  If the passengers wish to have English translation, the lovely Loren will accompany them.  The typical time slots are from 10:00 to 1:00, 1:00 to 4:00, or 4:00 to 7:00.  Other times may be arranged.
