Oh Dear..., Thursday, 08 May 2008

Have been there a couple of times just to have a look. Talk about a laugh....
Just go and watch the prostitutes who work out of there almost fighting over each other to get at the next "John" first. Business must be tough for them due to the low patronage of the place. Maybe if they freshend up the Prostitutes once in a while it would improve things for those so inclined. The price of the beer there is way over the top on International standards and the band can be summed up in one word "CRAP".

needs major improvement, Sunday, 04 May 2008

been there 2 times over the past several months-- the newest band leaves a lot to be desired-- almost an amateur group with very average talent-- not good enough for a major dalian hotel. the place was mostly empty, except for the abundance of staff who were attentive and courteous; had 1 drink and left around 10 pm-- maybe later on in the evening it gets more people, but not worth hanging around to find out. have to pay a cover charge added onto your drinks, so not really worth going there -- there are much more entertaining places to go in dalian

I hardly ever went there anyway . . . . ., Monday, 03 March 2008

When I first came to Dalian, I went to F2 bar a few times. The band was good (though the "lead" girl singer was a bit wacky) but the service was slow to the point of non-existent.

The next band they've got was good most of the time, but when they were "off" it was bad, and the service has slightly improved from before. I got the impression that once you were a "regular" you would get attention and service, but if you drop in occasionally (as I would do) forget it.

The good news NOW is when I walk in, the staff recognizes me and brings me a beer, the bad news is the new band is horrible. I love music and have a very forgiving nature when I know a young band is trying to entertain us. The new band at F2 sounds like some contestants from American Idol, the early tryouts I mean.

Better than many..., Tuesday, 12 February 2008

Ive been to a few bars here in Dalian and well most are louder than loud... A couple of nights ago I went to F2...

A nice place to socialise and you can actually hear yourself think... Difficult to find that in Dalian...

I was recommended to try the food, has a nice variety of drinking snacks, but also a full menu from starters to meat, vegetarian, and deserts... The food being of the Shangri-La was of high quality and the price i think it's worth it...

Drinks, you can find anything from cocktails, straight up liquor, variety of beers and generally a good selection... Price is slightly higher than other free standing bars but it's worth it since the environment is alot better...

Its a place where you can relax, or party... Has something for everyone. With all the different parties going on, there's always something to keep you interested...

Hope this review helps...

was there when the previous and present band played.
both are good. but....pretty same music if u're there often.
the waitresses are good but slow in serving sometimes.
price tends to be on high side as it's within Shangri-la.
good place to relax....if the high stools have back rest.... tends to slip off the stools... hehehehehe...
