i have been there a few times, when i first got to Dalian i stayed at the kempinski so it was a no brainer. I can say they are way overpriced for average beer, and it would be nice to have a berr adn nto be molested to buy one of the "floating girlfriends" a drink for there company. I dont think i will be back there any time soon

been there quite a few times over the past 6 months-- enjoy the band-- talented group with good vocals, good instrumentals, beautiful bods-- the gals that is!!-- and entertaining variety of music-- used to play too loud, but have tuned it down; the last few times we have been there on a saturday night, the place is busy, the service good (just 1 grumpy server, but the rest are pleasant and speak some english); their brew ale is not that good and is overpriced; the band needs to encourage people to hit the dance floor and shake up the place. i will go back again-- now if they could ventilate the smoke and turn on some fresh/cooler air...

sad, Sunday, 04 May 2008

I find it a little sad with the current reviews. I went there quite a time ago and commented to the management on the bands noise level. They switched it down still to an unacceptable level. I think this is to Chinese taste but not to westerners. The food was great but the service ws abysmal, but the only way is up I suppose. Western people will spend money if everything is good and there are more and more western people coming to Dalian. I wonder if Dalian people are prepared to spend the money that they need to at a reataurant like this. Maybe I'm wrong but the management need to think about the western way of thinking for once if they want to increase turnover.. ps. I remember the original western management was terrible to say the least (chewing gum and not interested).

somebody should react, Monday, 28 April 2008

I m really sorry to give this ranking, but a lot-nearly all the positive aspects have changed from 2005 onwards. The food is not western nor german anymore, it tastes old, cold all the time and too high priced as well. The service is getting weird, some guys i like but not many are left from nearly 3 years ago. The band has been really nice (the first one!!!) the wine is per glass 72RMB quiet unreasonable and to wait for a bottle more than 30 minutes..........really not worth anymore -pitty and shame for leadership! mass production is working for few month but you should take care for your guests, otherwise its empty as it is right now, no atmosphere anymore.Hope it can be changed!!!!!!!!!!we had many good times there!!!!
