Went there with a few work colleagues and mates the other night, thought it was fantastic. Was a little hesistant to eat at first seeing as the prices were a little high, but after finishing the meal was well worth it. Certainly up to international standards! Large servings and great taste. Atmosphere is great, certainly don't feel like you're in north east china.
Overall a great experience, would definetly recommend to anyone!!

A great way to kill an afternoon, Monday, 24 March 2008
I've been going there regularly for beers with friends, but last weekend we decided to actually eat for a change. The sausages were amazing. Nice and light, but full of flavor. We each tried a different plate and all of us were extremely happy with the food. The only downside was the service. it was bad, but it wasn't good. They were a bit slow and didn't communicate very well, which resulted a few messed up orders. It's a bit costly, but worth the price.

Love the Chocolate desert....., Monday, 14 January 2008
We went on a Saturday night for dinner. We order the knuckle, curry sausage and the steak. The knuckle is fat…………but the skin is so…..crispy and the meat taste good. Not too dry. The curry sausage though, only a slight taste of curry. My friend enjoyed the steak. For desert, we order a cheese cake, tiramisu and volcano chocolate. The cheese cake and chocolate is fantastic but the tiramisu ……….. It does not taste like a tiramisu. Just taste like a cream cake. The drink is good. They look of beer that you do not find in most pubs/restaurants.
One more things, do tell them that u WANT to have the desert AFTER your main mean. They served us the desert while we're still having out main meal. That forcing us to have the desert while having the main meal cause if we do not the ice-cream will melt away.......
Overall experience is GOOD.

Pumpkin soup....sauerkraut great!, Sunday, 13 January 2008
Great selection of german beer, great ambience, very cosy place.
I had pumpkin and walnut soup to start with, creamy and simply delicious, not salty though, which is a fresh change with most soups I had elsewhere.
I had pork knuckers for main dish, not exactly what I expected. Half of it was done nicely, crispy skin and not so fatty inside very tender, but the other half was not so crispy, and a thick layer of fat still embedded inside. The pork knuckle is not a knuckle, it's the portion above the knuckle, so it's huge!!!
The sauerkraut accompanying the dish is great!!! Very fresh and crispy, not like most places where it's soggy.
The mashed potatoes is great also, very smooth and creamy too, yummy...
We ordered 3 different dessert, but only one we really love, a hot chocolate mousse with ice cream, forgot what it's called though...I couldn't have enough of it!!!
The cheesecake was so-so, the cheese quite ok, but a bit too salty, but the base crust is too sweet for comfort.
The tiramisu is a disaster.... had a bite and gave up on it. Not smooth, no taste of rum....just not...
My friend had the German curry sausage, not bad too.
Although we were pretty satisfied with the food on the whole, the serving of food was a bit hay-wired. The dessert arrived before my friend's main course, so she had the dessert first.
Might visit again to try something else... Although German food to me is sausages, pork knuckles and beer.....not to mention sauerkraut..

fantastic steak, nice atmosphere, Sunday, 26 August 2007
This bar/restaurant is one of the best envorinments we've found to have weekend lunch, dinner, or drinks and chat with friends. Unlike a lot of bars in Dalian, the music is at an appropriate volume level and you can actually hear each other's conversation. They have a few German draught beers and tasty food too. I highly recommend their Angus Short Rib steak and their chocolate dessert. You can order the steak a la carte at 68 RMB or in a big set that comes with soup, salad, fish, dessert, and coffee or tea for 168 RMB. They also have a few rooms upstairs that can be reserved for groups.
