Maybe he had too many sausages atBavarian Beer House, where the reviewer, donnielighto, rated the creamy mashed potatoes a 10 but had trouble finishing everything.

Mondo, a Japanese/Italian fushion restaurant, just opened on the 5F of Central Plaza Hotel (next to Sen Mao Buildling). It's run by Pablo (ex-Tapas manager). Anyone try it?
Had a chance to visit the Ramada Plaza in Victory Square, now upgrading to a 5-star hotel. I met Toshiro Chigira, the hotel's new Director of Sales & Marketing, and Romy Astillero, Front Office Manager. A lot of changes - serviced apartments, executive floor, new gym, business center and a piano in the lobby. What I saw seemed very crisp and new. Any reviews?
Riveria has added a new Italian chef, Tony, formerly of Lasgana, a popular expat place in Xiamen (across from the Gulangyu Island Ferry.) Welcome to Dalian! FYI, therestaurnat is looking for hostess with good English or Japanese skills. (We've addedGoogle Earth Map directly in the reviews. Is it useful?)
And last but very important: In late June, Eddie the Baker will open a 2 floor casual Cafe/Deli in Kai Fa Qu - near the Anshan Shopping Mall. He promises to charm us with assorted western comfort foods, breakfasts, bakery products, sandwiches (roast beef, turkey ) soups, chicken wings, shakes, wine and cheese – from 6 am – 12 midnight. FYI, he's now looking for foreigner to be floor manager/supervisor/staff trainer.
