Please don't forget the strong coffee at Sunday Expat Coffee in Olympic Square.

Thanks to Olive Garden for last week's food samples and thanks to Metro's general manager, Mr.Wang, for answering questions. All the events are here - Buffet dinners, parties, music ... More Dalian Happenings
Finally visited "Tea Town", collection of more than 40 tea shops in Fujia Xian Ti Di 4F. It's certainly a comfortable environment (same building as new Walmart on Xi'an Lu) and good place to sample amazing variety of teas without crowds. Old Railroad Photos. Sorry to see Professor Ron (profsteam) and his wife return to Rochester, New York. Before he left, Ron found and photographed the original (Russian) train station just to the east of the current Dalian station.
Here are some of Ron's latest photos. Ron and his wife Jing did much to help this website; hope they'll return soon!
And "Dalian Through My Eyes"- thanks to d4spriralcow. Thanks to everyone for all the pictures!
Leone's Coffee Shop will be starting a Sunday Brunch in the near future. Should be early in August.
Heard from Pablo, now opening a Spanish restaurant in Shanghai in mid-August. And ran into Michael, a former I-55 manager you might remember, who is now working for Wagas, a popular Shanghainese western sandwich, soup, and coffee shop. Michael, a Dalianese, was here to visit family but was keeningly interested in Dalian's changing demographics.
Please take look at letter from possible Liaoning International Chamber of Commerce Dalian Music Scene Blossom Jazz Club has a new jazz quartet, Hua Mandu, all Chinese and pretty good. Two have studied in the US (one at Berklee College of Music in Boston). Although newly formed, it is a lively, talented group, 8:30 pm – 12:00 midnight (mixed vocals and instrumental; 2 men/2 women). Hope to see more of them!
